002: What is User Experience & Support Services (formerly CSS) and what kind of help does it provide?


User Experience & Support Services — formerly known as Client Support Services or ADS (“Academic Department Support” or “All Department Support”) — is a group within Information & Technology Solutions (ITS) that provides computer support for non-lab computers across the Mines campus.

To request UXSS help with a technology issue, please submit a Mines Help Center request (


In general, UXSS will handle most problems related to desktop computers, laptops, and printers campuswide. However, certain other services and resources — lab computers, networking, and so on — are maintained by other ITS units. In all cases, support requests may be made through Mines Help Center.
